We listen to the clients’ needs to determine the necessary features and layout and source furniture that is appropriately sized and fits the intended function. Lighting is crucial and we plan for adequate task, ambient, and accent lighting. Balance and openness is considered when designing a clients home along with providing the opportunity for refuge or privacy within the space. Custom design takes time and is thoughtful. When purchasing furniture from an online retailer, it typically takes weeks or months for products to arrive and in some instances arrives damaged or not to a client’s liking. Custom design is a process that takes a similar amount of time, but in the end, the client gets exactly what they want - furnishings that is inspired, functional, and speak to the personally of the home. Michael Kors says it right, “ a man in a well-tailored suit will always shine brighter than a guy in an off-the-rack suit.” It’s a game changer!

Define your aesthetic with textiles that speak to your home. Used across a wide range of applications, including upholstery, wall coverings, rugs, and window treatments, textiles are works of art. When it comes to selecting the appropriate fabrics, the options are endless. We specialize in curating options that are functional and high-quality. Vintage fabrics, natural linens, stain-resistant solution-dyed acrylics to PVC-free textiles and recycled performance fibers are only a few of the diverse options available to the modern day consumer.

When selecting textiles for use in the home, there are several factors to consider. There needs to be a certain level of fabric durability considered for different areas throughout the home. Pieces in high-traffic areas, such as family or living rooms, will need durable fabrics. We look for fabrics that have been tested for durability and labeled with the rub count to create a worry-free home that functionals well in a busy home.

The use of natural fabrics, synthetics, leathers, velvets and silk could all have a place in a home creating a warm and collected feel. Linen, cotton, hemp, bamboo, jute, and wool are natural fibers that are renewable and biodegradable. We look at textile certifications and seals of approval from third-party organizations to ensure we provide our clients with the highest quality materials. Some certifications include GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Greenguard and the GoodWeave label which is the best assurance that no child labor or forced labor was used in the making of the certified product.

Textiles add character to a home and bring in personality by adding color, texture and visual interest. Our design team works with our clients to bring a feeling to a home which is achieved by mixing and matching different textiles with various finishes and patterns to a create a dynamic look.
